AsiaShop needed to scale from a small boutique aggregator to a regional competitor. Key pain points: poor product discovery (manual category browsing), checkout friction across multiple merchants, and merchants struggling with basic product management using spreadsheets.
Our Solution
AsiaShop replaced their legacy custom system with Mall Professional. Elasticsearch-powered search immediately improved discovery β buyers find relevant products in one search instead of 4-5 minutes of browsing. Multi-merchant cart with single checkout removed the biggest conversion friction point. The merchant portal gave sellers self-service product management that previously required AsiaShop's ops team to handle manually. Live commerce was added in month 3.
Key Results
12 months later: merchants grew from 180 to 3,200 (word-of-mouth from satisfied sellers). Monthly GMV reached $4.8M USD. Conversion rate improved 38% through better search and the checkout redesign (5 steps β 3 steps). Live commerce events now account for 35% of monthly GMV. The platform operates in 12 markets across Southeast Asia and South Asia.
